My Espresso Cup

Sometimes my cup is half full,
Sometimes it's overflowing.
One thing I've learned over time,
If I don't pick up the shattered pieces and glue it back together each time it breaks,
I'll never be able to have it ready for the next time it could be filled.

So… I’ve studied this cup many times and now, thanks to Margie Rosenthal, I see something different.
The cup is not half-full or half-empty.
The cup is truly full.
There is the part that is filled with liquid, the part that I can see and feel, and to me this represents the material of my life.
The other part is filled with air, the part I can not see yet know is present; and that for me represents the spiritual of my life.
Now wouldn’t it be just that!
When there is too much material it leaves little space for spiritual.
Yet when the material is scarce, the spiritual fills the space of what is missing!
WOW!
That’s a real eye-opener for me!
Thanks God!
